André and Yvonne de Villiers were announced the
Bridgestone SA 4X4 Fundi Challenge 2009 National Winners

This is the second consecutive year that André, Safari Centre owner, and his wife accomplished this achievement in their Toyota Fortuner .

The Winners

The Bridgestone SA 4x4 Fundi Challenge is about competitors displaying their driving skills in standard production vehicles. André and Yvonne were the log leaders throughout the competition, consisting of six different legs with mixed obstacles. The last adventure was a GPS Challenge which lasted throughout the night of 17/ 18 October and had been won by Safari Centre 4x4 Team contestants, André and Yvonne, with flying colours.

Safari Centre thanks Toyota South Africa for sponsoring the winning vehicle for the team. André confirmed that the Fortuner had acquitted itself excellently of its duty throughout the Challenge.

The Safari Centre 4x4 Club Team entered 5 contesting teams for this challenge, and now boasts taking both the first and third places in this event, with Kai and Bruni Vogel achieving overall third position. Congratulations to them as well!
