The new Safari Centre branch in Pretoria East became yet another victim of crime during a burglary on Friday 10 April 2009 . Amongst 4x4 equipment and other stock, valuable GPS' and winches had been stolen.
It is apparent that the thieves are quite interested in GPS' and winches as these had been targeted during a burglary at the Bryanston branch in July last year. The Menlyn branch of the company also suffered from a burglary recently.
Safari Centre is a company based on very high community values and morals that does not tolerate criminal tendencies, and in this vein they appeal to the 4x4 community to also have no tolerance with this, and to be on the lookout for this equipment which undoubtedly will surface somewhere.
André de Villiers, managing director, of the Safari Centre Group offers a reward of R10 000 for information leading to the arrest of the culprits and/ or finding of the stolen items. The serial numbers of the GPS' and winches are available from the company upon request.
Anyone with information can contact André personally on 082 800 7743 or phone Safari Centre on 012 809 4410
